Al-Falaq · The Daybreak

قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلْفَلَقِ ﴿١﴾

Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak

qul aʿūdhu birabbi l-falaqi

مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ ﴿٢﴾

From the evil of that which He created

min sharri mā khalaqa

وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ ﴿٣﴾

And from the evil of darkness when it settles

wamin sharri ghāsiqin idhā waqaba

وَمِن شَرِّ ٱلنَّفَّـٰثَـٰتِ فِى ٱلْعُقَدِ ﴿٤﴾

And from the evil of the blowers in knots

wamin sharri l-nafāthāti fī l-ʿuqadi

وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ ﴿٥﴾

And from the evil of an envier when he envies."

wamin sharri ḥāsidin idhā ḥasada
